I call this "a gentlemans hot rod" 1940 cadillac 60 special fleetwood 4 dr. This beauty has a completely stock look as from factory, like al capone or dick tracy would be rolling up in it. The cadillac is finished in a deep gloss black paint. She shines at any angle, with much depth and gloss. Literally a mirror finish. Restoration was completed about 17 years ago and has been lovingly enjoyed ever since, and still shows exceptionally well. To put it simply, its just super nice. I would call the car a high end driver quality vehicle. Undercarriage is very clean, straight, & finished in flat black with a light undercoat which is consistent with a factory application. S not all cobbled up with auto zone rubberized crap! Was a body on restoration. The engine bay has a gloss black finish that looks great. It rides, drives, and handles very well; straight down the road with no shimmies, shakes, or vibrations. Extremely tight and surprisingly easy to drive for what it is. I would not hesitate to get behind the wheel of this car with my family and drive it across country. She cruises at 65 mph like a new car. Rides like a cadillac!! A person of any size or age could drive this vehicle comfortably. All of the lights, turn signals, brakes, gauges,etc are functioning properly. Engine fires right up with no smoking, ticking, noises, etc. Has a fantastic sound with 2" dual exhaust - its quiet! Car is turnkey and ready to drive anywhere. The interior is finished nicely with grey cloth, and carpet, door panels, headliner, and all show extremely well. A ton of money and the best parts were used creating this piece. Air Conditioning

I purchased the chevy from a family estate, so i am limited to the prior knowledge or history about the car. I have a clean clear florida title in my name for this vehicle. The story on the car is this: it was a running driving car until about 6 years ago. The wiring caught on fire pulling into the driveway coming back from a car show. They were able to put out the fire quickly, however it burned the dash, hood, and cracked the windshield. The owner started to work on the car to repair the damage, but passed away shortly after the incident. The car has great bones, very solid, and not far away from being a super nice driver. Car and body are very straight, and would absolutely warrant a restoration. The floors aren’t bad, and would only need minimal repair. I personally would just put new floors in as it would be cheaper in the long run. I am currently in the process of installing a new wiring harness, and will have the car running within a week. I purchased the ford from a family estate, so i am limited to the prior knowledge or history about the truck. In the pictures, the truck looks blue and white. In person, it is clearly teal and white. Not sure why the photos show up that way, but it is definitely a shade of teal green. The paint is older, and of a maaco quality. But shines at any angle with much gloss. The undercarriage is extremely clean, very solid, straight, and rust free. No holes, rust, or issues. Undercoat is present, but a very thin layer which is consistent with a factory or dealer application. Underneath, everything for the most part is still original, like stock suspension, manual drum brakes, manual steering. I’m not going to sugar coat it: it rides, drives, and handles like a 1955 ford would. But for a fun affordable old school truck for my family and i to enjoy a couple days a week, it worked out well. The 302 v8 engine fires right up and sounds strong. Has a new air filter and a fresh oil and filter change. The c6 trans shifts as it should. Newly added were sunpro gauges for volts, temp, & oil psi, and a cd player and speakers. Headlights, brake & tail lights, blinkers, and windshield wipers are in working order. The speedometer currently just bounces, and appears to needs a new cable. I have ordered those, and should be here this week. Depending on how they're counted, more than seven nameplates compete for shoppers looking for a car that's thrifty, yet performs; that's comfortable, but not expensive; that's fresh and new, but promises to be reliable. korea's car makers have never been a part of this class. They've danced around the edges, with the kia optima and hyundai sonata. But neither car has broken through and established a solid foothold in the mainstream u. Market. enter the all-new 2006 hyundai sonata. while the previous-generation sonata made a dramatic jump to the top spot in the j. Power and associates 2004 initial quality study ranking of entry midsize cars, the 2006 sonata has been completely redesigned. It's bigger, better equipped, more technologically advanced and sharper looking than the 2005 model it replaces. the class in which the new sonata competes, however, is blurred. Exterior-wise, it goes against mid-size sedans, primarily the honda accord, toyota camry and nissan altima and secondarily against the chevrolet malibu, the kia optima and the upcoming ford fusion. Inside, though, the '06 sonata moves up a class, to large car, which gives it a potential edge in creature comfort. with minor and essentially immaterial exceptions, it lives up to that potential. It's roomier in almost every dimension than its midsize competitors, which is no surprise. Fit and finish is on a par with most others in the class, which also is no surprise. In terms of performance, it equals or bests comparably featured cars, which is a surprise. It's cleaner, too, than earlier sonatas. Just as important, if not more so, the new sonata is aggressively priced, positioned smack in the middle of the range of prices of the mid-size sedans. all this combined makes the 2006 hyundai sonata good enough to put the mid-priced, midsize market on notice. Two engines and three transmissions are available. The uplevel engine is a 235-horsepower v6. Standard equipment includes air conditioning; cruise control; power outside mirrors, windows and central locking with keyless remote; am/fm/cd/mp3 stereo; and leather-wrapped, tilt steering wheel. The list of standard items starts with those on the gl and expands to include fog lamps; premium-grade cloth upholstery and cut-pile carpeting; choice of wood-grain or metal-grain interior trim accents; steering wheel-mounted, redundant audio controls; adjustable lumbar in driver's seat; five-function trip computer; carpeted floor mats; and 16-inch alloy wheels in place of the gl's hub-capped steel wheels. The gls order sheet has two option boxes. One is for a power, tilt-and-slide glass sunroof 850). The other is for a premium package 1350) containing the aforementioned sunroof plus auto-dimming inside rearview mirror with compass (both with a much-appreciated on/off switch), homelink programmable garage and security remote and eight-way power driver's seat. next up the gls v6 20,895), which comes standard with a five-speed automatic. This brings with it solar control window glass, chrome exterior window trim and chrome-tipped dual exhausts. The sunroof is an option 850). The optional premium sport package 1500) includes the sunroof, 17-inch wheels with michelin pilot tires, the electrochromic rearview mirror with compass, homelink and power driver's seat. on the top rung is the lx 22,895), which comes with everything on the gls plus leather-trimmed seats and simulated leather interior door panel inserts. Distinguished by chrome exterior door handles, the lx also gets automatic air conditioning with hyundai's air quality system, which shifts to recirculating when it detects offensive or polluted outside air; a sliding cover on the front center console; the auto-dimming inside rearview mirror with compass; the homelink system; the eight-way power driver's seat; and a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The sunroof can be obtained separately 850) or as part of an lx-exclusive premium package 1400) that also has a am/fm/cd6 changer/mp3 stereo with subwoofer. safety features in addition to the mandatory dual-stage front-seat airbags include front-seat side-impact airbags for torso protection and full-coverage side curtain airbags, designed to provide head protection, all standard on all models. Active-safety features include antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and electronic stability control with traction control, all standard. These crash-avoidance features are optional or not available on many of the other vehicles in this class. walkarounddesign tastes are extremely volatile in the automotive world. A styling cue like an arched-eyebrow headlight treatment can go from eye-catching to invisible in a couple years. Or it can survive for decades and come to be accepted as a brand trademark, such as bmw's twin-kidney grille. The hyundai sonata hasn't yet found its signature trademark cues, but the 2006's designers are looking in the right places. the new sonata's fascia is refreshingly clean and spare, with sharply angled headlight housings and a quiet, clean-cut grille topped with a sliver of chrome. Wide and deep openings beneath the front bumper provide a home for tightly focused foglamps and visually pull the front end closer to the ground while directing cooling air into the radiator. The striking, concave hood reduces the car's perceived mass without cramping the engine compartment. the side treatment avoids the all-too-common wedge look with an almost horizontal beltline riding above softly shouldered fenders and door panels. Mirrored 'z' seams where the end corners of the bumpers meet the quarter panels add interest, while blacked-out window surrounds play down the tallish side glass. The flat-flanged rims on the up-level 17-inch wheels suggest a high-end european import more than an affordable asian nameplate. the taillight outlines repeat the headlight shapes and bookend a broad, trapezoidal license plate inset. Again, there's a hint of other cars' architecture, most notably contemporary camrys and accords. Sporty, california hotrod-idiom dual exhausts mark the v6-equipped models. interiorthe 2006 hyundai sonata's interior marks a major step up the quality ladder. Some rough edges on a few plastic molds and a less-than-lustrous finish on some dash panels are the only shortcomings we noticed. The overall look, though, is clearly competitive with most in the class and better than some. a polished, hard-surfaced applique capped with a thin slice of chrome divides the upper and lower halves of the dash. The upper is a glare-absorbing dark color, the lower a space-enhancing light tone. The passenger airbag enclosure is seamless, mimicking the trend in higher-end midsize sedans. as with many modern cars, the stereo head is fully integrated into the dash, making difficult any aftermarket customizing of the sound system but adding an upscale touch. Air conditioner controls are mounted beneath the stereo, within the accent trim centered in the lower portion of the center stack. Stereo and air conditioner controls are substantial, finger-friendly, intuitive knobs and buttons, with status and selections clearly displayed in their respective lcd screens. three round dials in the hooded instrument cluster communicate the bare necessities of operational data to the driver, with the largest the speedometer nestled inside a polished circle. To its left is the tachometer, to its right conjoined water temperature and fuel gauges. In the lower dash to the left of the steering column are a bank of five switch plugs, only two of which are employed in the u. Version, one as an on/off for the esc, the other the dash-light rheostat, and a flip-down storage bin. The ignition key slides into a slot placed where it should be, in the dash to the right of the steering column instead of on the steering column itself. all models get a leather-wrapped steering wheel. On the gls and lx, the steering wheel serves multiple duties. Besides the obvious, redundant controls for the audio (arrayed somewhat oddly, with the mode selector on top and the volume controlled by the lower two, versus the more common approach of sandwiching the mode button between the volume controls) are appended to the lower left-side of the hub. On the other side of the hub are the cruise controls, with a helpful cancel function. outward visibility is good, although the wide c-pillars constrict quick, over-the-shoulder traffic checks for lane changing. Rear side windows roll all the way down, thanks to small, fixed, rear quarter windows that move the windows' rear tracks forward in the door. The cloth upholstery on the gl looks and feels durable; on the gls, it's a bit fancier in texture and stitchi. Some new models have joined the lineup for 2012: a stylish chrysler 300s, the new chrysler 300c luxury series, and a new chrysler 300 srt8 super-sedan. the chrysler 300s is a sportier 300, with 20-inch wheels and firmer suspension. 2012 chrysler 300 v6 models offer a new 8-speed automatic transmission from zf that makes the hemi v8-powered car nearly irrelevant. With this new transmission, the v6 gets an epa-estimated 31 mpg highway. a new, optional navigation system is the best we've ever seen, with a large, 8. 4-inch screen that's easily understood at a glance and easy to operate. We highly recommend opting for it. Also new for 2012 are the usual assortment of color and wheel design upgrades, and not one but new sound system upgrades. the chrysler 300 has all the heritage traits of an american luxury sedan such as room, comfort, endless features and amenities, power and a degree of presence, yet is also has good road manners, stops and changes directions as well as it goes. It also has a distinctive look ever harder to find in this era of economy-driven aerodynamics, pedestrian impact standards and corporate styling. all-wheel drive is available. Srt8 carries a $1,000 federal gas guzzler tax. safety equipment on the chrysler 300 includes front, front side, driver knee, and side curtain air bags, electronic stability control with brake assist, and tire pressure monitoring system. The optional safetytec package groups several safety features together. Optional all-wheel drive improves stability in slippery conditions. walkaroundthe front of the chrysler 300 looks like a large sedan version of the chrysler 200 midsize sedan and town & country minivan, with many of the same visual cues in the grille, headlamps, air intakes and front bumper. It's much sleeker and more rounded at the nose, but carries a much lower aerodynamic drag coefficient because of the rounded elements and the very laid-back windshield angle. Neither the windshield nor the rear window carries any bright moldings at all, unusual for a luxury car, but it works on the 300. on the s and srt versions a gloss-black grille and headlight housings framed against monochrome bodywork; it's hard to imagine understated and menacing applied to the same car but that's how it looks. Add in big dark wheels and the s and srt versions deliver the aggressiveness of an amg e-class or cadillac cts-v with more elegant machinery like a bentley gt. We have mixed feelings about the styling, especially that of the 300 srt8. It looks like an upscale hot rod, but we're not sure it quite pulls it off. The styling seems to work best on the standard models. the profile of the chrysler 300 shows pronounced wheel lips front and rear, and they are connected by a sharp body line that starts at the trailing edge of the front wheel well and rises continuously to finish at the side of the tail lamps. That line, coupled with the larger side windows, narrower pillars, and another sculpted line at the bottom of the doors, does wonders to slim down and muscle up the look of the 300. at the rear, there's a chrome bar running across the bottom edge of the decklid between the new vertical led taillamps and a tall, flat rear bumper between the exhaust outlets that widens the look of the car at the rear. The execution of the led daytime running lights at the front and the led rear lamps is excellent. The s and srt have deeper panels and a lip spoiler for stability. One of the more pleasant surprises in the chrysler 300 is the amount of light entering the car. the interior environment is classy without being fussy, and the led lighting and instrumentation are spot-on. Upholstery can be cloth, leather, or suede and leather on srt8 and trim is faux wood, real wood, carbon-fiber or piano black lacquer style; interior adornment is generally matte-finish chrome so annoying reflections are minimal. the instrument panel contains a bright gauge package, with crisp graphics and ice-blue accent lighting that is brilliantly legible day or night. the center stack is dominated by a large (8. 4-inch) touch-screen control system, with audio and climate functions. Optional is a brilliantly colorful, large-icon garmin navigation system. This system, because of its size, graphics, and capabilities, may be the best all-around nav system currently available, easy to read, easy to use, and often readable from the back seat.
